Reno Review: School zone speed limit is 15 (not 25 like in CA) and people actually go 15! It's great. Sadly, parents have nothing else to do but come to school 35+ minutes before school gets out and fill up the pick up driveway and parking around the school.
Reno Review #2: Today is the official last day of summer and we got our first day of snow in the mountains (just cold rain at the house)!! Photo taken from our backyard toward the dusted mountains in the south.
School zones and snow. End of summer, welcome Fall and winter. It is crazy how crowded and busy the pick up and drop off areas are for the schools. Challenges a mother's patience, that's for sure. This is where you get creative and look for alternative ideas. Um, come late, miss the rush. Um, park on a side road and walk a block or so to the school for the kids, then everyone walks back to the car together. Um, come a hour early and be the first in line, then sit there playing games or reading a book while you wait. hahaha...lol Or just enjoy the crazy crowd.
